Sting Newz Service: A woman aged about 100 years old was allegedly raped by a 21 years old guy. The incident took place at Ganga Prasadpur village under Chakdaha Police Station in Nadia at about 2 a.m on Tuesday night. The accused was produced before court on Wednesday and taken to Judicial custody for 14 days.
Sources said, Abhijit Biswas alias Arghya, a neighboring guy stealthily entered the room of the elderly woman on Tuesday night and allegedly raped her. The woman was sleeping alone in her room. After listening her screams, a relative of her rushed to her room and caught the guy on red handed.
Abhijit Biswas (Arghya), the accused was a day labour. He lives a little distance away from the house of the elderly woman.
The son of the woman, later on Tuesday morning, lodged a complaint of rape against the guy in Chakdaha police station. After getting the complaint, police arrested the guy on Tuesday.
The guy was produced before Kalyani Sub-divisional Court on Wednesday and taken to judicial custody for 14 days.
Police has already started an investigation into the case.
Police said, the guy was slaped with IPC 376. Medical test of the woman was done on Tuesday. He took chances of her staying alone in room.
