Man stabbed to death in Nadia’s Nakashipara

Sting Newz Service: A man pushed a sharpe knief to the abdomen of one of his neighbours at an open place and the man subsequently died. It happened at Paduma village under Nakashipara Police Station area in Nadia on Friday morning, a police sources said. The man soon ran away from the spot and finally was absconding.

Police said, the deceased was identified as Abdar Shaikh (32), a resident of Paduma village. He was a businessman of sound system renting in different programmes.

The locals rushed him to Bethuadahari Rural Hospital. As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to Shaktinagar District Hospital. But, according to family sources, he succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

The deceased Abdar Shaikh’s brother Ibrahim lodged a complaint of murder in local police station against one Mafuj Shaikh, a fish seller.

According to police, One Ayub Shaikh gave a loan of  Rs. 20 thousand to Ibadul Shaikh, brother of  Mafuj. Ibadul was allegedly not showing any interest to pay the amount to Ayub. Then Ayub told the whole story to one of his neighbors Abdar Shaikh who is a notorious criminal and requested him to recover the money.

However, on Friday morning, Abdar went to Ibadul’s house to recover the money. There, he met with Mafuj, brother of Ibadul and involved in an altercation with him over the issue. Suddenly, Mafuj allegedly took a sharp knife and pushed it into the abdomen of Abdar. Then Mafuj fled from the spot.

Police said, whole the incident occurred in front of the house of Mafuj. He most probably collected the sharp knife from a nearby house where a marriage ceremony was going on.

According to police, the deceased Abdar Shaikh was a notorious criminal. He was accused of 7-8 murder case.

He was allegedly murdered one Sarif Shaikh, cousin brother of Mafuj in the village about six months ago. He got bail from jail about one and half months back.

But Ismile Shaikh, the elder brother to the victim said, “Mafuj had taken some amount of loan from my brother Abdar some days back. He, like many other days, asked for the money on Friday. But suddenly he stabbed my brother with a sharpe knief.”

A neighbour Sahidul Seikh and victim’s nephew Manirul Sekh, both blamed Mafuj.

Manirul Seikh said, “There was no fault of my uncle. During talking regarding loan, Mafuj drag out a knief and pushed to his abdomen.”

Police has initiated an investigation. Police recovered the knife used in the killing.

A police sources said, “We have initiated an investigation to look into if there was any other reason of the killing besides loan issue.”

A sensation was prevailed over the village after the incident.
