Sting Newz Service: Acting on a tip-off, Dhubulia Police under Krishnagar Police District, in collaboration with the District Special Operations Group (SOG), carried out a successful operation, leading to the arrest of Jahid Ali Mondal (55) at Mayapur More on National Highway 12. Mondal, son of the late Hamijuddin Mondal, hails from Baro Naldah Dakshinpara under Palashipara Police Station in Nadia district.
Law enforcement officials, acting swiftly on the intelligence received, intercepted Mondal and conducted a thorough search. The operation resulted in the recovery of 258 grams of heroin, along with other incriminating materials. The seized contraband has been taken into police custody, and an investigation is underway to determine its source and distribution network.
Authorities have registered a case against Mondal and his associates under Dhubulia PS Case No. 51/25, dated February 11, 2025. The charges fall under Sections 21(c) and 29 of the NDPS Act, which deal with the illegal possession and distribution of narcotic substances. Police officials suspect that Mondal is part of a larger drug trafficking ring operating in the region.
