Sting Newz Service: Babar Ali Shaikh, a dedicated blood bank employee from Nabadwip and an active social worker, organized a voluntary blood donation camp in Panditpur village on Sunday in memory of his late grandfather, Janab Ali Sahab. This marks the third time he has held such an event to honor his grandfather’s legacy, earning widespread praise from the local community.

The camp, set up at the village school ground, saw enthusiastic participation with 34 donors coming forward to contribute. Members of the voluntary organization Sadichha also donated blood. The event was enriched with cultural performances, including creative dance, poetry recitations, and more, providing entertainment for all attendees.

Speaking at the event, Babar Ali Shaikh said, “The number of patients suffering from diseases like cancer and thalassemia is increasing, and their need for blood is crucial. These donation camps aim to meet that need. In memory of my grandfather, this is the third time I’ve organized such a camp. Today, I also donated blood myself.”

Certificates were presented to blood donors from various parts of Nadia who had donated more than 50 times. Among them, Manas Ray, a 57-year-old donor from Nabadwip, completed his 100th blood donation during this camp. He was also awarded a certificate in recognition of this remarkable achievement.

The event was graced by notable personalities, including Minister Ujjwal Biswas, National Award-winning teacher and MLA Bimalendu Singh Roy, author Chaitanya Das, and social workers Dr. Sarikul Islam, Pradip Biswas and Tapan Basak, among others.

Such initiatives not only preserve the memory of loved ones but also inspire others to contribute to society. Babur Ali Sekh’s efforts are a shining example of how one individual can make a difference.
