Sting Newz Service: A “Safe Drive, Save Life” campaign was organized by the Nakashipara Highway Traffic Police in collaboration with the Dhubulia Traffic Unit and Dhubulia Police Station. On Wednesday morning, the program was aimed at raising awareness among the students of Dhubulia Subhash Chandra Girls’ School.
First, a discussion session was held at the school, where several police officials, including Nakashipara Highway Traffic Officer Shubankar Chatterjee, Dhubulia Traffic Officer Suman Kumar Banik, and Dhubulia Police Station Officer Ramprasad Mal, were present. The session focused on the rules of riding motorcycles and the importance of safe driving. Special emphasis was placed on the significance of wearing helmets and adhering to traffic laws.
After the meeting, an awareness rally was organized with the students, which circled Dhubulia market along NH-12 and concluded at the school. Each participating student was handed a Cadbury chocolate at the end of the rally.
In his speech, Nakashipara Highway Traffic Officer Shubankar Chatterjee stated, “We want these messages not to remain limited to the students only but to be passed on to their families.” He specifically highlighted the importance of wearing helmets while riding motorcycles, aiming to encourage women to wear helmets while riding scooters.
