Sting Newz Service: In a heartwarming community initiative, the Thanarpara Police Station under the Krishnanagar Police District in Nadia organized a blood donation camp and blanket distribution programme on Wednesday as part of the ‘Utsarga’ project. This dual event aimed to support both healthcare efforts and provide aid to local residents in need during the cold season. The programme witnessed an inspiring turnout, with 50 individuals, including 24 police personnel and several civic volunteers, coming forward to donate blood.
Each blood donor received a sapling as a symbol of gratitude, aligning with the drive’s message of giving back to nature while supporting human lives. This green gesture was intended to foster environmental awareness and encourage community members to contribute to both social and ecological well-being.
In addition to the blood donation, Thanarpara Police took a further step toward supporting the community by distributing winter clothes to 330 local residents, many of whom struggle to afford basic necessities. This thoughtful distribution of blankets and other winter essentials reflects the police station’s dedication to public welfare, especially as temperatures begin to dip.
