Bamunpukur High School Alumni Set an Example with Blood Donation Camp During Centenary Celebrations

Sting Newz Service: The alumni of a school have set an inspiring example by organizing a voluntary blood donation camp in Bengal. The centenary celebrations of Bamunpukur High School in Nabadwip, Nadia district, commenced on January 2 and will continue until January 6. As part of the celebrations, the alumni organized a voluntary blood donation camp on Saturday. Reports indicate that around 55 former students of the school voluntarily donated blood during the event.

According to sources, one of the school’s former students, Bakulchand Sheikh, is now a renowned doctor. He currently serves as a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Nabadwip State General Hospital and has earned acclaim for his medical expertise throughout Bengal. He has frequently made headlines for his commendable work. The blood donation camp was primarily organized through his initiative.

Additionally, the camp provided free health check-ups, including ECG, blood sugar, pulse rate, blood pressure, and oxygen level monitoring. Free medicines were also distributed. Many underprivileged residents of the area gathered at the camp to avail themselves of these free services.

Many have praised the initiative, stating that centenary celebrations should not be limited to cultural events but should also include noble endeavors like blood donation. The efforts of the alumni of Bamunpukur High School have set a shining example in Bengal’s history through this centenary celebration.
